Cluj-Napoca – Salina Turda – Cluj-Napoca
Drive to Turda Saltmines. Turda was once the most important economic center in this region. Salt, also known as ‘white gold’, has been extracted from the Turda Salt Mine since the Roman Age. This mine, dating from the 17th century, was a decisive factor in the development of this town from Roman times until today and is now a veritable history museum of salt mining. Afterwards we drive back to Cluj-Napoca.
