The Romanian music art, represented on numerous stages of the country, is impressive. After decades of political isolation, the gates of our country are nowadays open to everyone who wants to visit the bridge between Europe and the Middle East.

Inside, we find paintings that date back to the 13th century. Then, we drive to Prejmer. The Prejmer fortified church was built in a shape of a Latin cross in Gothic style. After a short walk on the battlement parapet and after seeing the famous “Death Organ”, we’re invited to visit Dracula’s Castle in Bran. The Bran Castle Museum is located on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia. This castle is known as the homestead of Vlad Țepeș (Vlad the Impaler) and is the most visited attraction in Romania. The writer Bram Stoker brought the fame of the Dracula myth in our country at the beginning of the 20th century. During the city tour in Brașov we get to see the main tourist features of this medieval city inside the Carpathian Arch: the council hall, the Weavers’ Bastion (visit included), the Black Tower and the White Tower, the Schei quarter, etc. The highlight of the tour will be the Black Church, a Gothic construction from the 14th century with a great collection of oriental carpets.

Day 5: Brașov – Sighișoara – Sibiu

In the morning, we drive to Sighișoara on the ‘road of the fortified churches’. We visit the town and we see the main touristic objectives of the so-called ‘Pearl of Transylvania’: the Clock Tower, the Covered Staircase, Dracula’s birth house etc. Afterwards, we visit the fortified church in Biertan that served as the bishops’ residence for more than 300 years.
